At The Races

Hexham Racecourse takes full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands to provide superb viewing of horse racing as well as the magnificent surrounding countryside.

Henderson Room

Overlooking the parade ring, the Henderson Room offers great dining with a panoramic view of the course and the winner's enclosure.

Pavilion Restaurant

Grande Buffet with traditional carvery, hot and cold cuisine, salad bar and desserts to tantalise your taste buds, with a superb view of the course.

Wedding Ceremonies

Hexham Racecourse has a licence to hold marriage ceremonies and set in beautiful country surroundings it's the perfect venue for the ceremony and reception.

Hexham Racecourse Self-catering Lodge


Situated 2½ miles from the historic market town of Hexham, our unique self-catering lodge is located within the Hexham Racecourse complex with a backdrop of magnificent scenery. Sleeping up to 8 people with 4 twin bedrooms, kitchen, sitting room, 2 shower rooms and a patio area. Built in 2012 the lodge was designed to accommodate the needs of all people. The lodge is perfect for walkers and cyclists or those just wishing to enjoy a quiet rest away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

The Racecourse Lodge is the perfect base to explore Hexham with its medieval abbey, shops, eateries, markets and cobbled streets and just a few miles north of the town, Hadrian's Wall, Roman forts and museums. Prices are based on up to 8 people sharing the Lodge. Please contact the Racecourse Office for prices based on smaller parties and the latest available dates (the lodge is not available on racedays. A list of meeting dates can be found here).
