A Day at the Races

Enjoy a friendly atmosphere with a superb view of the course and the magnificent surrounding countryside. Enjoy a drink and a light snack in the bar or a full meal in the restaurant or private box.

There are also many opportunities for companies and groups to entertain guests and sponsor races.

At The Races

Hexham Racecourse takes full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands to provide superb viewing of horse racing as well as the magnificent surrounding countryside.

Henderson Room

Overlooking the parade ring, the Henderson Room offers great dining with a panoramic view of the course and the winner's enclosure.

Pavilion Restaurant

Grande Buffet with traditional carvery, hot and cold cuisine, salad bar and desserts to tantalise your taste buds, with a superb view of the course.

Wedding Ceremonies

Hexham Racecourse has a licence to hold marriage ceremonies and set in beautiful country surroundings it's the perfect venue for the ceremony and reception.

Hexham Racecourse Membership

 

A photo of a 2016 Hexham Racecourse's Member's BadgeAn Annual Badge offers GREAT VALUE to the regular racegoers and entitles the holder to admission to the Club Enclosure for all of Hexham's fixtures, as well as FREE ADMISSION to over 45 FIXTURES (depending on when badge is purchased) at other National Hunt and Flat meetings during the year.

Members also receive FREE entry to one of Durham County Cricket Club's matches. See below under membership benefits.

Annual Membership makes a great corporate gift, anniversary or birthday present.

Cost of membership varies within the following categories:

 

Annual Club Membership Prices for 2017 (All prices are inclusive of VAT)

  • Double Badge - £220 (inc VAT)
  • Single Badge - £130 (inc VAT)
  • Senior Double - £195 (inc VAT)
  • Senior Single - £115 (inc VAT)

 

New Memberships Badges and Photo ID

Every member will now receive an 'undated' metal badge (as shown above) and a separate Members Photo ID Card (this must be used to gain entry). Members will be able to have their photographs taken at the race day office (at the course) or they can email or post a photo to the racecourse office. Please see contacts page for details.

 

How to purchase membership badges

You can either contact the racecourse office on 01434-606881 or by post or CLICK HERE to purchase securely online. Note: Online purchased tickets are subject to an administration and booking fee of £1.50 per badge. Postage and Packing is free.

 

Free Membership Benefits

Hexham Annual Members have their own room facing the parade ring in which complimentary coffee and tea is available throughout all racedays. We also have a number of rooms that may be hired to accommodate large groups of up to 100. These are offered subject to availability. Please make enquiries to the racecourse office – 01434-606881.

As well as enjoying 17 meetings at Hexham, members can visit approximately 46* reciprocal meetings at racecourses throughout the country, including all the Northern courses from the start of the year.

*Note this number refers to badges bought at the start of the year - they decrease as the season progresses. A good reason to buy an annual badge before the start of the year.

 

Durham County Cricket Club Matches

In the summer members are invited to attend, free of charge, a one-day Durham County Cricket Club match at the Emirates Riverside. To gain entry members must show their Hexham Racecourse Member's badge.

This year the matches are:

  1. Tuesday 16th May – Durham Vs Lancashire – Royal London Game
  2. Monday 19th June – Durham Vs Glamorgan – Championship Game

There's also a reciprocal arrangement for Durham County Cricket Club members who gain free access to our racecourse on Tuesday 23rd May 2017 (evening) and Thursday 14th September 2017 (twilight meeting).
