Hexham Racecourse takes full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands to provide superb viewing of horse racing as well as the magnificent surrounding countryside.

Under 18? New to Horse Racing? Planning a 'Day at The Races'? Then 'Saddle Up' with.....

Hexham Racecourse has linked up with Great British Racing, the sport’s promotional body, which has launched its biggest ever national under 18s campaign to encourage more families to take advantage of FREE ENTRY for children and young people at racecourses across the country.

At stirrupsummer.com, Instagram, Twitter (#stirrupsummer) and You Tube you’ll find all sorts of exciting and fun activities, discover much more about racing for the under 18s, even find out what your racehorse name would be with the Hip Hop Horse Name Generator, which famous racehorse you are with a cool quiz! Something for young people of all ages!

Hip Clop Commentary Challenge

X-Factor stars and Hip Hop artists Reggie & Bollie, have taken to the horse racing commentary box and put their lyrical dexterity to the test as part of our #StirrUpSummer under 18s go racing free campaign.

Giddy Up - is now live and kicking
